Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Pulmonary Tuberculosis Vaccine, Preparation Method Therefor, And Application Thereof' Filed by Cansino Biologics Inc.

MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517095906 A) filed by Cansino Biologics Inc., Tianjin, China, on Oct. 6, for 'pulmonary tuberculosis vaccine, preparation method therefor, and application thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Xu, Fang; Zhu, Tao; Peng, Shaodan; Shao, Juan; Miao, Wei; Tang, Xue; Zhao, Xiaolong; and Si, Weixue.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is an immunogenic composition, the immunogenic composition comprising one or more pulmonary tuberculosis antigens. After performing mucosal immunization on the body via inhalation, the invention not only has a high level of specific antibodies targeting mycobacterium tuberculosis simultaneously generated in the lungs and body, but can also stimulate a very high cell immune response."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 15, 2024, under International application No.PCT/CN2024/081888.
