MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421010386 A) filed by Bharat Serums And Vaccines Ltd., Navi-Mumbai, Maharashtra, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'purification process and formulation of recombinant anti rhd monoclonal antibodies.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an improved purification process for isolating anti-Rhesus D monoclonal antibodies and their antigen-binding fragments. The improved process involves a series of purification techniques, including affinity chromatography, low pH inactivation, anion exchange and cation exchange chromatography, virus/nanofiltration, ultrafiltration and the like. The present invention also encompasses a stable formulation for the purified antibodies or fragments with improved shelf life and performance of the final product."
