MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617001574 A) filed by Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha, Ltd., Osaka, Japan, on Jan. 7, for 'pyridazinone compound or salt thereof, and pest control agent containing same.'

Inventor(s) include Kiriyama Kazuhisa; Jukurogi Tatsuya; Tazawa Yuta; Kani Tatsuya; Yoshimura Tadahiro; Kawakami Shota; Torii Ayaka; Ishihara Katsuya; Kanzaka Yuta; and Doi Ryusuke.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A number of pest control agents have been used over the years, but a considerable number of such pest control agents have various problems such as insufficient efficacy and limitation on the use thereof due to pests, etc., gaining resistance thereto. Therefore, there is a demand for development of a new pest control agent with few of such shortcomings. The present invention pertains to: a pyridazinone compound represented by formula (I) [in the formula, each symbol is as described in the description] or a salt thereof; a pest control agent containing the compound; and a method for controlling pests by applying the compound."
