MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517043915 A) filed by The Japan Steel Works, Ltd., Tokyo, on May 6, for 'pyrolysis system and waste plastic pyrolysis system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention enables efficient replacement of a residue tank 102. A pyrolysis system 10 comprises an extruder 12, a buffer chamber 26, a flow passage 52, a residue tank 102, and a conveyance unit 72. The extruder 12 pyrolyzes waste plastic P. The buffer chamber 26 houses residue R remaining after the pyrolysis. The flow passage 52 receives the residue R from the buffer chamber 26. The residue tank 102 recovers the residue R discharged from the flow passage 52. The conveyance unit 72 conveys the residue R received from the buffer chamber 26 toward the residue tank 102."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 16, 2022, under International application No.PCT/JP2022/042619.
