MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517026235 A) filed by Alpha Tau Medical Ltd., Jerusalem, on March 21, for 'radiotherapy sheet.'
Inventor(s) include Arazi, Lior; Kelson, Itzhak; Gat, Amnon; Magen, Ofer; Domankevich, Vered; Segal, Ronen; Schmidt, Michael; Levy, Dor; and Lax, Shai.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sheet for radiotherapy, which includes a sheet base configured for placement on tissue of a patient and a radium-binding material coupled to the base sheet. Alpha-emitting radium radionuclides are coupled to the radium-binding material. The radium radionuclides do not leave the sheet, but radon and lead resulting from decay of the radium radionuclides easily leave the sheet."
The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 10, 2023, under International application No.PCT/IB2023/058960.
