MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527078364 A) filed by Honor Device Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Aug. 18, for 'random access method and related apparatus.'
Inventor(s) include Zeng, Yongbo.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application provides a random access method and a related apparatus, for use in solving the problem of how to trigger multiple physical random access channel (PRACH) transmissions, and reducing the implementation complexity of a terminal device. The method is applied to a terminal device, and comprises: determining that a trigger condition is met; and transmitting a first message of random access on the basis of a plurality of transmission beams. The trigger condition comprises at least one of the following: a network device allows the terminal device to perform multiple PRACH transmissions on the basis of the plurality of transmission beams, the service type of the terminal device is a preset service type, and the maximum value in the reference signal received power (RSRP) of a plurality of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) detected by the terminal device is lower than a first threshold."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 11, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/137830.
