MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123231 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 6, 2025, for 'real-time log analysis system using large language models.'

Inventor(s) include P Balakrishnan; A Anny Leema; T Mythili; Sushant Kumar; Ambaliya Kaushal; and Vishvam Madhak.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a computer-implemented method for real-time log analysis. The method includes receiving log data from multiple sources including application logs, server logs, and network logs. The method includes preprocessing the log data using a distilled transformer language model to perform contextual understanding of unstructured log messages. The method includes classifying the log messages into severity levels based on the contextual understanding. The method includes detecting anomalies in the log data using machine learning techniques. The method includes processing the log data in real-time with latency below 50 milliseconds per log entry. The system architecture comprises a log ingestion pipeline, an LLM-based preprocessing module, a severity classification component that categorizes logs into INFO, WARNING, ERROR, and CRITICAL levels, an anomaly detection component, an alerting and notification component, a user-friendly dashboard, and an incident response component."
