MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011932 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'rear viewing device for cyclists.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Tapasmini Sahoo.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rear viewing device for cyclists, comprising a curved flap 101 configured with a drawer mechanism and multiple hinges 102, enabling an adjustment of length and curvature of the flap 101, an air cushion padding 103 provided at a bottom surface of the flap 101, connected with an inflation unit 104 attached with the flap 101 for a comfortable securing onto arm of the user, an imaging unit 105, installed on the flap 101, to determine dimensions of user's arm, a circular plate 106 having a mirror mounted by means of a primary ball and socket joint 107 onto a telescopic rod 108 attached on the flap 101, for providing a rear view to the cyclist, a rectangular frame 109 having a hydrophobic sheet 110, attached with a secondary ball and socket joint 111 configured on the plate 106 by means of an L-shaped telescopic link 112."
