MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011949 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'rebar column alignment device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Swetapadma Panda.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rebar column alignment device, comprises of a cuboidal housing 101 having four omnidirectional wheels 102 for locomotion of the housing 101, an annular member 103 configured with a hinge attached with the housing 101 via pair of L-shaped telescopic arms 104 mounted at a front surface of the housing 101 by means of pivot joints such that member 103 grips rebars by multiple pneumatic pins 105 configured with clamps 106, an electromagnet 107 configured with each of the clamps 106 for gripping, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 108 determine position of the rebars and holes of the column, a pair of telescopic grippers 109 mounted on the housing 101 via ball and socket joints for stabilizing column."
