MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517096142 A) filed by Softcar SA, Fribourg, Switzerland, on Oct. 6, for 'recyclable steering wheel.'
Inventor(s) include Crozier, Etienne; Heisel, Guillaume; Jacot, Maurice; Querry, Hector; and Thuliez, Jean-Luc.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a steering wheel (01), for example for a motor vehicle, comprising a rigid frame (10), and a combination of thermoplastic injection-moulded trim parts arranged as a half-shell, advantageously put together by clipping and/or screwing, or by any other fastening means on said frame, the injection-moulded parts constituting the trim of said frame (10) and forming the design and grip of said steering wheel (01)."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 04, 2024, under International application No.PCT/IB2024/052084.
