MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517044205 A) filed by Softbank Group Corp., Tokyo, on May 7, for 'redundancy setting for central brain control.'

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a control device comprising: a control unit in which a plurality of internal chips are disposed; a plurality of external chips smaller in number than the plurality of internal chips and disposed on the outside of the control unit; and a management unit that manages the control of a vehicle by means of the control unit, wherein the management unit performs management so as to execute control of the vehicle using the plurality of external chips in accordance with the control unit satisfying a predetermined condition. A first number of the external chips may be disposed on the outside of the control unit, and the internal chips, the number of which is obtained by subtracting the first number from a theoretical value of the chip number of the control unit, may be disposed inside the control unit."
