MUMBAI, India, Jan. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202417037380 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on May 13, 2024, for 'reference point marking device and roll map generation device.'

Inventor(s) include Kim, June Hee; Han, Ki Deok; Jeon, Gi Yeong; and Shin, Jong Kwon.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 31, under issue no. 05/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a marking device for marking a reference point on a multi-lane electrode having multiple electrode lanes arranged along the width direction. The marking device comprises: a first marker for marking a reference point on an uncoated portion of an electrode lane located at one end of the multi-lane electrode in the width direction or electrode lanes located at both ends thereof in the width direction; a second marker that, while moving along the width direction, marks reference points on uncoated portions of the remaining electrode lanes except for the electrode lane located at the one end or the remaining electrode lanes except for the electrode lanes located at both ends; and a control unit for controlling the operation of the first marker and the second marker. The present invention also provides a device for generating a roll map by using the reference point marking device."

The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 28, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/012697.
