Inventor(s) include Ogawa, Satoshi; and Ajiki, Yoshiharu.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a regeneration device for a fuel, wherein a short circuit due to an increase in the volume of a metal can be prevented. The present invention relates to a regeneration device for regenerating a fuel, which contains a metal oxide, of a fuel cell that uses a metal as the fuel, the regeneration device comprising a container that is configured such that the fuel, which contains a metal oxide, can be contained therein. The container comprises: electrodes that are configured to apply an electric current to the fuel so that the metal oxide can be reduced to a metal; and a fracturing unit that is configured such that at least some of the reduced metal, which is generated at the surface of a negative electrode among the electrodes, can be mechanically fractured."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 05, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/008335.
