MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517057621 A) filed by Topsoe A/S, Lyngby, Denmark, on June 16, for 'removal of nitrogen from renewable products.'

Inventor(s) include Hansen, Jens Anders; and Schjodt, Niels Christian.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A process is provided for reducing the nitrogen content of a renewables stream originating from a liquid renewables stream, a fraction thereof, comprising a step of treating said renewables stream or said fraction with acid. A plant for carrying out the process is also provided."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 21, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/087392.
