MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020778 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'rescue assistive device for water bodies.'
Inventor(s) include Pankaj Kumar Goswami.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rescue assistive device for water bodies comprises of, a circular inflatable body 1 developed to be arranged on water surface of a water body and developed to accommodate a user in case of an emergency, a push- button 2 is configured on the body 1 that is pressed by the user to inflate the body 1, an air compressor 3 for inflating the body 1 to allow the body 1 to float over the water surface, a weight for detecting weight of the user, a GPS (Global Positioning System) module for detecting real-time location of the body 1, a pump arranged with the body 1 and assembled with a water desalination unit 4 that is used for generating desaline water, for pumping the water towards the desalination unit 4, and a chamber for collecting desaline water."
