MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019213 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 4, for 'rescue pathway device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Nibedita Pradhan.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rescue pathway device comprising, a cuboidal frame 101 composed of four elongated rods 102 configured with multiple hinges 103 for collapsing/extending rods 102 connected with one another at ends by four telescopic link 104 to adjust cross-sectional area of frame 101, a telescopic bar 105 mounted underneath each bottom corner of frame 101 and provided with a wheel 106 for locomotion of frame 101 attached by means of springs 107 for shock absorption, an imaging unit 108 installed on frame 101 to determine dimensions of an area where rescue pathway is to be provided, multiple hydraulic actuators 109 provided under bottom rods 102 with suction cups 110 attached underneath for stabilizing frame 101, a sliding unit 111 installed along length of frame 101 between front lower and rear lower link with a telescopic guide rail 112."
