MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311079835 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 24, 2023, for 'rescuing system for breakdown vehicles.'

Inventor(s) include Taranjeet Kaur; Sarbpreet Kaur; and Pradeep Kumar Jindal.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rescuing system for breakdown vehicles comprises of a button 1 integrated within a vehicle that is accessed by a user present within vehicle for requesting an aid to stop vehicle, a GPS (global positioning system) module integrated within vehicle for tracking down location of vehicle, an imaging unit 2 assembled at different locations of a place for capturing multiple real time images of location for confirming live location of vehicle, a pair of motorized rollers 3 wrapped with a string 4 laid in proximity to a speed breaker constructed over a road, a speaker 5 for producing an audio alert for nearby people to get aside due to uncontrolled movement of vehicle, a L-shaped telescopically operated link 6 for positioning a hook 7 near ground surface that gets engaged with string 4 for applying pulling force onto vehicle to completely stop vehicle without colliding with any nearby vehicle."
