MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517049021 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on May 21, for 'resistance spot-welded joint and resistance spot welding method therefor.'
Inventor(s) include Endo Reiko; and Takashima Katsutoshi.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a resistance spot-welded joint; and a resistance spot welding method therefor. The present invention provides a resistance spot-welded joint which is obtained by resistance spot welding two or more steel sheets that include at least one high-strength steel sheet, wherein: the high-strength steel sheet has a specific component composition; the average hardness Hv of a first region within a heat affected zone of a resistance spot-welded part and the hardness Hvm of the central part of a nugget satisfy the relational expression 0.85 Hvm Hv; and the average number density of carbides having a particle diameter of 100 nm or more in the first region is 10 or more per 5 m2 of a cross-section of the steel sheet."
