MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087634 A) filed by Invitrogen Bioservices India Private Limited, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'reversible labeling of primary antibodies.'
Inventor(s) include Parameswaran, Sriram; and Samantaray, Sharmishtha.
The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Antibody conjugates and kits for detecting antigens of interest in cell and tissue samples are described. Target-specific antibodies are reversibly labelled in a site-specific and stoichiometric manner using conjugates that include an Fc binding domain linked to a coiled-coil domain, which in turn is coupled to a labelled peptide nucleic acid (PNA) or a labelled peptide. The labelled conjugate can be released from the target-specific antibody by washing the cells or tissue in a low pH buffer, allowing for cyclic detection of target antigens in the sample. In vitro methods of detecting a target antigen in a cell or tissue sample using the antibody conjugates are also described. Methods of assembling a labelled antibody conjugate are further described."
