MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019182 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 4, for 'road surface snow removal assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A road surface snow removal assistive device, comprising a curved-shaped body 101 designed to be attached to front portion of a vehicle, multiple curved-shaped extendable plates 102 to adapt to the shape of the vehicle's front end, a pair of motorized clamping units 103 to grip the front portion of the vehicle, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 104 to monitor the vehicle's size and shape, multiple motorized hinges 105 for tilting the plate towards or away from each other, an optical sensor detects the depth of accumulated snow, a L-shaped hydraulic rod 106 for placing the base of the body 101 in contact with the road surface, a pair of chambers 107 stores a specialized anti-icer solution to melt snow and ice and an electronic nozzle 108 spray the solution on the snow."
