MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102879 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 25, 2025, for 'robotic cargo loading system having weight distribution optimization.'
Inventor(s) include Rakesh Gagneja; and Tiyas Sarkar.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses a robotic cargo loading system (100) that ensures optimal weight distribution in trucks, ships, and containers. The system (100) integrates robotic arms (102), conveyors (104), sensors (106), and a control unit (108) to autonomously measure, calculate, and place cargo with dynamic balance optimization. Sensor (106) data including weight, shape, and identification are processed in real time by the control unit (108) to generate a virtual load map. The robotic arms (102) position and, if necessary, reposition cargo to maintain equilibrium. Unlike traditional loading systems that maximize only space, this system (100) proactively prevents imbalance, enhances safety, reduces fuel usage, and maintains regulatory compliance. The invention offers a scalable, intelligent, and energy-efficient approach to cargo loading automation."
