MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641018881 A) filed by Leelaya Design Private Limited, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 19, for 'rotationally indexed hand stamp for selective ink access with an integrated cap ink reservoir.'
Inventor(s) include Venkat Rao.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a rotationally indexed hand stamp (1) for selective ink access with integrated cap ink reservoir comprising a main body (101) and a cap (102), wherein the main body (101) houses a stamp head (201) and the cap (102) contains an ink pad (202). The main body (101) includes a stud (2001) configured to selectively engage with a locking groove (2002) and an access groove (2003) formed in the cap (102). In a locked mode, the stud (2001) engages the locking groove (2002) to maintain the stamp head (201) spaced from the ink pad (202), preventing unintended ink transfer. In an operational mode, rotation aligns the stud (2001) with the access groove (2003), enabling contact between the stamp head (201) and ink pad (202) for controlled inking. The invention provides a compact, integrated, and mechanically simplified stamping device with selective ink access, reduced component complexity, and improved portability."
