MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014266 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'sack filling assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sukhdeep Kaur; Dr. Ashima; Harsh Yadav; and Gyan Nidhi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A sack filling assistive device comprises of, an inverted U-shaped frame 1 arranged with the device developed to be positioned on a ground surface, multiple omnidirectional wheels 2 for moving the frame 1 over the surface, an artificial intelligence based image capturing module 3 to determine position of grains present in proximity to the frame 1, a motorized hinge 5 to deploy the body 4 in order to position front portion of the body 4 in proximity to the grains, multiple touch sensors for determining presence of a sack engage on the back portion while the body 4 remain in a stowed state, motorized clippers 6 assembled on the back portion to grip the sack in a secured manner, an ultrasonic sensor for determining exact distance of the grains from front portion of the body 4, and a robotic flap 7 to draw the grains in the body 4."
