MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414062936 A) filed by Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Aug. 20, 2024, for 'saddle-ride vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Shinichi Yamada.

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "To facilitate arrangement of an equalizer by effectively utilizing a space defined on an inner side in a vehicle width direction, and to easily suppress an increase in a vehicle width. A saddle-ride vehicle includes: a front wheel brake operation element (21r) for actuating a front wheel brake (51) that brakes on a front wheel (13); a rear wheel brake operation element (53) for actuating a rear wheel brake (52) that brakes on a rear wheel (15); and an interlocking brake (61) in which one end of an interlocking brake cable (51b) is connected with the rear wheel brake operation element (53) through an equalizer (63), another end of the interlocking brake cable (51b) is connected with the front wheel brake (51), and both the rear wheel brake (52) and the front wheel brake (51) are actuated by an operation on the rear wheel brake operation element (53), in which the equalizer (63) includes an offset portion (71b) which is offset on an inner side in the vehicle width direction."
