MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414085767 A) filed by Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Nov. 8, 2024, for 'saddle riding type electric vehicle.'

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electric motorcycle (1) includes: a battery set (100) that stores electric power supplied to a motor (50) for driving a vehicle; a front cover portion (61) that covers an accommodation space (K1) which accommodates the battery set (100) from a vehicle forward side; and a PCU (130) that is arranged at a rearward side of the battery set (100) and controls an electric power supply to the motor (50), wherein the front cover portion (61) includes a cutout (66) that exposes part of the accommodation space (K1) to the vehicle forward side, and at least part of the PCU (130) overlaps the cutout (66) in a front view of the front cover portion (61)."
