MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441015351 A) filed by Mamidibathula Sridhar, Secunderabad, Telangana, on March 1, 2024, for 'safe sleep electro magnetic shield.'

Inventor(s) include Mamidibathula Sridhar.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides for safe sleep by shielding the human brain and body from the harmful effects of the electromagnetic radiations. The invention provides a safe sleep shield frame structure to be placed on a bed with two electromagnetic shielding layers providing a safe shielded area (l07). The head and chest portion of the individual using the invention is to be placed in the safe 10 shielded area (107) to get protection from the harmful effects of exposure to electromagnetic waves when sleeping or in sleep posture. The shielding is provided by the phenomenon of diffraction of electromagnetic waves through the porous apenures of the shielding material and thereby losing intensity on diffraction. Regularly available fabric and combinations of polyester, cotton or 15 nylon with size of apenures of porosity comparable to the wavelengths of the incident electromagnetic waves are used for shielding layer material."
