MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621010137 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Jan. 30, for 'safety and control system for industrial machinery.'

Inventor(s) include Peruri. Raghavendra Rao; Nidhi Maurya; Simrin Fathima Syed; Dr. Madhu Shukla; Vipul Ladva; Akshay Ranpariya; and Neel Dholakia.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A safety and control system for industrial machinery, comprising of a sensing unit to detect machine speed, load, current, position, and other operational parameters, a control unit to continuously analyse normal physical movements and interactions of the machines, a section-wise conveyor isolation setup to physically stop or reroute materials onto safety conveyors when unsafe conditions are detected, an AI camera 108 to continuously monitor material flow, position, and robotic arm interactions, an air-cushion protection module 109 to temporarily shield products from abnormal robotic arm movement, a mechanical stopper plates 106 to physically stop material flow, a product holding clamp 111 to lightly secure products in place during abnormal robotic activity, and an overhead sliding protective cover 110 to interpose a solid barrier between the robotic arm and the product upon detection of excessive force."
