According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Described herein is a safety module (100) for a vehicle. The safety module (100) comprises a housing (102) having an opening (102-1), the housing (102) adapted to accommodate an airbag associated with the safety module (100) during deployment of the airbag, and one or more cover (104) adapted to cover (104) the opening (102-1) of the housing (102). The cover (104) is connected to the housing (102) through one or more hinge (106), where the hinge (106) is formed by one or more curved portions (106-1) and one or more flat portions (106-2) arranged adjacent to each other along a hinge axis (A-A'). The flat portions (106-2) include one or more rib (108) protruding from an upper surface of the flat portions (106-2), adapted to be welded to an inner surface of a carrier of the vehicle for preventing the uncontrolled separation and flying of cover (104) during airbag deployment."
