MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527065004 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Shenzhen, China, on July 8, for 'satellite communication method and system and related apparatus.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application discloses a satellite communication method and system and a related apparatus. A first electronic device displays a first control for enabling a satellite communication mode. In response to an input for the first control, a first page is displayed, wherein the first page is used for instructing a user to adjust a posture of holding the device, such that the first electronic device establishes a satellite communication connection with a satellite. After the satellite communication connection between the first electronic device and the satellite is successfully established, a second page is displayed, wherein the second page is used for prompting the satellite signal intensity, and the second page is further used for instructing the user to keep or adjust the current posture of holding the device. The first electronic device communicates with other electronic devices by means of the satellite communication connection in response to a dialing operation of the user. The first electronic device can also send a short message to the other electronic devices in the satellite communication mode in response to an operation of the user sending a short message. In this way, the first electronic device can communicate with the other electronic devices by means of the satellite."
