MUMBAI, India, Jan. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311044555 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on July 3, 2023, for 'scalable power consumption model for drive style analysis and eco-score computation for an ego vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Bharath Halkur Shankar Rao; Rudraksha Kelkar; Aravind Kumar Janarthanan; and Deepak Cuddalore Chittibabu Sarathchandran.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 10, under issue no. 02/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure pertains to a system and method for establishing scalable power consumption model, and thereby evaluating eco-score for an ego-vehicle. It involves: monitoring (402), through sensors, a set of dynamic parameters associated with the ego-vehicle; and then computing (404), at a processing unit, by taking into consideration one or more parameters among the monitored set of dynamic parameters, one or more local power consumption models associated with the ego-vehicle. Further, it involves: mapping (406), at the processing unit, by pre-processing, a global model for the one or more computed local power consumption models of the ego-vehicle; and evaluating (408), at the processing unit, using the determined global model, eco-score comprising energy predictions and drive style classification for the ego-vehicle, wherein the energy predictions include energy consumption and energy consumption rate."
