MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421017156 A) filed by Astha Infra Engg (INDIA) Pvt. Ltd., Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, on March 10, 2024, for 'screw mechanical jack for steel bolted tank erection.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A screw mechanical jack for erection and movement for a large bodied structures comprising a gear box, a screw housing assembly, a vertical guide roller assembly, a bucket assembly, an upper stay pipe, a joint junction box and a stay support pipe. The gear box comprises a worm drive and is connected to a mechanical drive powered through an electric motor. The present invention allows to ease of erection of a high load structure and also can provide shifting by using a modular structure that allows to reduce installation cost, labour cost and also loss due to mechanical failure leading structural damages. Further, the present invention allows multi-storied structure erection using single or multiple control joints and jacks, thus can be used for erecting any structural shape and movement of the same."
