MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018222 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 13, 2024, for 'scuba diving sport assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A scuba diving sport assistive device, comprises of a frame 1 developed to be positioned over a water body, an inflated tube 2 for providing buoyant force to the frame 1, an oxygen mask 3 connected with an oxygen reservoir 4 via a hollow spiral tube 5 for supplying oxygen to the user inside the water body, multiple motorized propellers 6 for moving the frame 1 along the user, a water shielded speaker 7 to notify the user to refill the oxygen reservoir 4, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 8 for capturing multiple images of the surroundings of the frame 1, a conical-shaped flexible sheet configured with multiple links 11 installed on a circular ring 9 via a sliding arrangement 12 for forming a cone shaped structure around the user, and multiple LEDs (Light Emitting Diode) 13 to notify the user regarding the presence of danger."
