MUMBAI, India, Sept. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311019692 A) filed by Galgotias University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on March 22, 2023, for 'seating assistive device under tree shade.'

Inventor(s) include Karthikeyan Murugeasan; and Rikshit Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 27, under issue no. 39/2024.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A seating assistive device under tree shade comprises of a C-shaped extendable frame 1 being held with tree, an L-shaped platform 2 for sitting, a camera 3 to detect diameter of tree, an electromagnet 4 for joining both ends of frame 1, a microphone 5 to input voice command related to desired orientation of platform 2 asper user, plurality of hinges for deploying platform 2, a motorized slider 6 for translating platform 2 for as per detected height of the user by camera 3, a sun sensor to locate sun, a motorized circular sliding unit 7 to position the platform 2 away from sunlight, a weather module 8 to detect abnormality in weather, a speaker 9 for notifying the user, a rain sensor to detect the rainfall, a curved member 10 via a pair of motorized pivot joints to make shelter over user's head portion."
