MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511124942 A) filed by Alp Aeroflex India Private Limited, Gurugram, Haryana, on Dec. 10, 2025, for 'seating module for vehicle cargo compartment and method of manufacturing the same.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a seating module (100) for a vehicle cargo compartment. The seating module (100) includes a polymer body (102), at least one seating region (104) integrally formed on an upper surface of the polymer body (102) and configured to support an occupant, at least one functional cavity (106) formed within the polymer body (102) to house or support an accessory, utility component, or storage article, an ergonomic support formation (108) integrally formed as part of the polymer body (102), and vehicle-interface engagement formations (110) on lower surface of the polymer body (102) configured for removable retention of the seating module within the cargo compartment. In an embodiment, the polymer body is a unitary blow-moulded structure formed from a thermoplastic material using any of extrusion blow-molding, foam-filled blow molding, rotational molding, vacuum forming, or injection molding."
