MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517036872 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on April 16, for 'secondary battery.'

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a secondary battery, and comprises: an electrode assembly having electrode tabs; an exterior material having an accommodation portion for accommodating the electrode assembly; and electrode leads connected to the electrode tabs of the electrode assembly and disposed on the inner side of the exterior material, wherein the exterior material further includes exposure holes that are open to expose portions of the electrode leads to the outside of the exterior material, the electrode leads each includes an exposed portion exposed to the outside of the exterior material through the exposure hole, and a non-exposed portion connected to the exposed portion and covered by the exterior material and not exposed to the outside of the exterior material, and the exposed portion may include a protrusion protruding toward the outside of the exterior material more than the non-exposed portion."
