MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058809 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on June 19, for 'secondary battery.'

Inventor(s) include Lee, Eun Ju; Park, Kyu Tae; Rah, Kyun Il; and Jung, Won Hee.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a secondary battery comprising: a cathode comprising a cathode active material; an anode comprising an anode active material; a separator disposed between the cathode and the anode; and an electrolyte, wherein the cathode comprises a cathode active material, and the cathode active material comprises at least 15 wt% of a first cathode active material in a single-crystal form, the anode comprises a carbon-based active material and a silicon-based active material, and a ratio EN/EP of a weight EN of the electrolyte impregnated in the anode to a weight EP of the electrolyte impregnated in the cathode is at least 0.9."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 20, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/021042.
