MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019414 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'secured bag holding device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured bag holding device, comprising a circular shaped platform 1 positioned on a ground surface, plurality of suction cups 2configured beneath the platform 1 for securely gripping the surface, an AI-based image capturing module 3 installed on the platform 1 for capturing images of surroundings, a pair of extendable arms 4 installed on the platform 1 and in opposite direction to each other for fastening a bag on a hook 8, motorized ball and socket joint 5 configured in between each of the arms 4 and the platform 1 for expanding the bag to insert beverages, a speaker 6 installed on the platform 1 for notifying the user regarding overweight of the bag and a motorized flap 7 installed on each of the arms 4 for locking handles of the bag within the hook 8."
