MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024141 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'secured beverage container holding device for crutch.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured beverage container holding device for crutch, comprises an L-shaped plate 1 configured with a pair of clamps 2 accessed by the user to affix the plate 1 with the crutch, an expandable disc 3 accommodates axillary beverage container, a microphone 4 receives voice command of the user, an imaging unit captures images of the container, a motorized expandable pulley arrangement provides extension to the disc 3, multiple extendable flaps 6 extend accordingly with height of user, multiple pneumatic pins 7 extends to grip the outer periphery of the container, a tactile sensor monitors hardness of the container, a gyroscopic sensor monitors angular velocity of the crutch."
