MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311084454 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 11, 2023, for 'secured jumping practicing device.'

Inventor(s) include Kushdeep Singh; and Sarabjit Singh.

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured jumping practicing device comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned over a ground surface, multiple rods 2 are arranged underneath platform 1 for supporting platform 1 at a height from surface, a motorized sliding unit 3 arranged on each of rods 2 and integrated with a base plate 4 that is accessed by a user (s) for getting accommodated on plate 4, a weight sensor for monitoring presence of user on plate 4, an imaging unit 5 for capturing and processing multiple surrounding images in order to monitor jumping movements of user on platform 1, multiple telescopically operated bars 6 arranged on outer periphery of platform 1 to get extended to restrain user from falling off from platform 1, multiple electromagnetically powered springs integrated on outer periphery of platform 1 for maintaining elasticity of platform 1."
