MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088300 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'secured letter management device.'
Inventor(s) include Rishi Sikka.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured letter management device, comprises of a cylindrical body 1 installed with a chamber 2 dedicated towards storage of multiple letters, a touch enabled screen 3 is mapped on the body 1 for enabling a user to enter name printed on envelope of one of the letters belonging to the user, a pair of telescopically operated gripper 4 installed within the housing for lifting each of the letters placed within the chamber 2, a sensing module 5 for detecting name written on each of the letters, a motorized door 7 configured on the body 1 to open for allowing the user to access the letter placed over the platform 6, a moisture sensor is mapped on the platform 6 for detecting moisture level of the envelope, and a hot air blower 8 mounted on the platform 6 for blowing hot air in view of eliminating moisture from the envelope."
