MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004725 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'secured parking barricading device.'

Inventor(s) include Harvinder Singh.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured parking barricading device encompassing a frame 1 with vertical metallic casings 2 on each face of a parking pillar, an imaging unit 3 installed within the frame 1 gauges the pillar's dimensions, multiple electromagnetic springs 4 integrated between casings 2 create an adjustable loop around the pillar for barricading as a database stores nearby parking capacity, and an ultrasonic sensor synced with the imaging unit 3 checks parked vehicles, a speaker 5 arranged within the frame 1 alerts incoming drivers about space availability and integrated LEDs 6 ensure visibility for parked and approaching vehicles."
