MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005872 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 29, 2024, for 'secured patient examination assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Sajjan Singh; Sarbpreet Kaur; Richa Mehta; and Pardeep Kumar Jindal.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured patient examination assistive device, comprises a cuboidal frame 1 installed with a curved-shaped member 2 via an extendable link 3 to position head portion on the member 2, a touch enabled screen 4 installed on the frame 1 to select the facial organ to be examined, a camera 5 mounted within the frame 1 for capturing multiple images of the patient, an LED (Light Emitting Diode) bulb 6 configured within the frame 1 via a motorized ball and socket joint 7 to allow the practitioner to examine the facial organ appropriately, a pair of hollows flexible units 8 configured with a set of cavities carved on the frame 1 to insert hand within the frame 1 through the units 8, and a gesture detection sensor positioned on the frame 1 for detecting various gestures made by the practitioner to tilt the member 2."
