MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311079706 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 23, 2023, for 'secured pipe holding device.'

Inventor(s) include Mohd Arif; and Anshu Tomar.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured pipe holding device, comprising a body 1 associated with said device to be attached with a vertical surface, multiple suction cups 2 to establish a grip in between said body 1 and surface for securing body 1 over surface, an image capturing module 3 to capture multiple images of surroundings for detecting length of a pipe that is to wrapped, multiple bars 4 attached with body 1 via a motorized spherical joint 5 to accommodate pipe in between bars 4, a motorized clamp via a motorized ball and socket joint 7 to provide a multidirectional movement to clamp 6, a temperature sensor installed to measure temperature of pipe and a peltier unit installed over body 1 to provide a heating/cooling effect as means of maintaining flexibility of pipe."
