MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013273 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'secured theft prevention device for vehicles.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured theft prevention device for vehicles, comprising a frame 1 attached with a disc 2 for providing grip to a user, a rod 3 arranged between disc 2 and frame 1 to position frame 1 underneath paddles, an ultrasonic sensor installed on frame 1 detecting accommodation of paddles inside frame 1, a motorized hinge joints 4 arranged on frame 1 to position a plate over the frame 1, a motorized sliding arrangement 5 configured on plate and frame 1 for positioning three clamp 6 arranged on arrangements underneath and above paddles, a pin 7 arranged between clamps 6 and arrangements to secure paddles between clamps 6, a touch sensor detects engaging of clamps 6, an patch 8 arranged on clamps 6 for magnetizing in order to lock clamps 6, a speaker 9 notifies user to register authenticity of the person and an imaging unit 10 determines authenticity of the user by using facial recognition protocols."
