MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018887 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'secured walking aid device for blind pets.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sanjay Kumar; and Bhawna Saraswat.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secured walking aid device for blind pets, comprises of a wearable body 1 developed to be accommodated around torso region of a blind pet, a C-shaped member 2 configured with the body 1 to prevent collision of the pet's face with an obstacle, a camera 3 mounted on body 1 for capturing multiple images of surroundings, a motorized slider 6 configured between the member 2 and chamber 4 for translating the chamber 4 towards a suitable direction over the member 2, an electronic nozzle 5 equipped with chamber 4 for dispensing the fragrance to attract the pet towards the direction, a motorized iris lid 7 configured with a vessel 8 positioned on the body 1 to open for dispensing pet treat, and a telescopically operated link 10 to extend for positioning plate 9 in proximity to the pet's mouth portion to allow the pet to consume the treat."
