MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003460 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 17, 2024, for 'security enhancement system for traffic control.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A security enhancement system for traffic control, comprises of plurality of hump-shaped structure 1 developed to be installed on the roads equidistance from each other, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 to determine the presence of the vehicle in proximity to the structure 1, plurality of hydraulically operated rods 3 for establishing a barrier for the vehicle to stop, a speaker 4 for notifying the user to halt the movement of the vehicle, an inflatable airbag 5 for providing a cushioning effect to the vehicle in case of collision of the vehicle with the rods 3, a crash sensor 6 for monitoring the impact of collision, an electric igniter 7 for inflating the bags, plurality of water sprinklers 8 for deterring the animals, and a solar panel 9 for harnessing the solar energy."
