MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018776 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 3, for 'self-cleaning handheld hair grooming device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A self-cleaning handheld hair grooming device, includes a bar-shaped body 101 configured with a circular plate incorporated with multiple rubberized teeth 113, for facilitating a user to grab the handle in order to brush the teeth 113 through the user's hair, to comb/detangle the user's hair, multiple buttons 104 integrated in the body 101, each designated towards a particular task, indicated by at least one of the button for providing input regarding requirement of assistance in a user-desired task, an electronically controlled valve 105 integrated at tip of each teeth 113 for dispensing an appropriate amount of oil on the user's scalp, an imaging unit 106 integrated in the plate for detecting location of damaged hair and area on the user's scalp, and a flap 108 mounted on the body 101 configured with multiple extendable L-shaped links 109 to disengage the stuck hair from the teeth 113."
