The invention acquires runtime telemetry from monitored assets including endpoints, servers, cloud workloads, virtual machines, containers, applications, and network devices, and generates adaptive behavioral baseline profiles for monitored entities based on contextual operational patterns. Live telemetry is compared against the adaptive behavioral baseline profiles to identify exploit-relevant anomalies, and suspicious events are correlated into candidate exploit progression chains representing possible zero-day attack behavior. The invention further computes an exploit risk value based on anomaly severity, exploit novelty, privilege transitions, persistence likelihood, lateral movement potential, and asset criticality, and generates responsive mitigation policies including process restriction, memory execution containment, network micro-segmentation, session revocation, or controlled isolation. The invention further enables enforcement of selected mitigation policies and continuously updates detection and response logic based on feedback, thereby providing adaptive and real-time defense against previously unseen exploit attempts."
