MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517017288 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 27, for 'self-supporting ceramic separator for electrochemical device and electrochemical device comprising same.'
Inventor(s) include Kim, Yeong Ha; Jeong, So Mi; Yoon, Yeo Ju; Kim, Seong Jun; and Bang, Ji Hyun.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a self-supporting ceramic separator for an electrochemical device and an electrochemical device comprising same and, more specifically, to a self-supporting ceramic separator for an electrochemical device and an electrochemical device comprising same, wherein the self-supporting ceramic separator for an electrochemical device appropriately controls the quantity and arrangement of first inorganic particles which are flat and second inorganic particles which are a zeolite-based inorganic material so as to improve the heat resistance of the separator, prevents an electrical short circuit between electrodes so as to improve the safety of a battery, and exhibits excellent cell life characteristics."
