MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611007385 A) filed by Motorama Ev Private Limited, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Jan. 25, for 'self-tuning controller for brushless dc motor drives.'

Inventor(s) include Abhishek Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a self-tuning controller for a brushless DC motor drive. The controller comprises a PWM inverter coupled to a DC bus and motor phases, along with voltage and current sensing units that generate an input-power signal representing electrical input power. Phase-current samples are processed to generate a harmonic-energy signal, and a commutation module generates a torque-current indicator. First and second bounded variations are applied respectively to switching parameters and commutation timing to produce distinct perturbed operating conditions. An inefficiency discriminator evaluates changes in the input-power signal, harmonic-energy signal, and torque-current indicator under the perturbed operating conditions to classify controller-induced loss versus load-induced loss. An adaptation scheduler updates multiple control parameters based on the classification and applies the updated parameters to the inverter or commutation module to improve operation."
